Whetstone Associates, Inc.  provides consulting services in groundwater, geochemistry, and hydrologic engineering.  Our company was founded in 1999 to serve mining and industry. Our clients are located throughout the western United States and South America, and include mining companies, industry, hazardous waste landfills, and environmental engineering firms.  We also provide consulting services to individuals and smaller corporations for foundation drainage design, culvert and channel hydraulics, and water supply.

Our office is located 3 hours south of Denver in La Veta, Colorado.  We also maintain a branch office in Golden Colorado near the Colorado School of Mines.  Our professional staff includes licensed civil engineers, hydrogeologists, geochemists, geologists, and numerical modeling specialists. We maintain full drafting and design support, including rendering and 3-dimensional modeling.  Our services are backed by over 25 years of combined project experience by our principals Susan Wyman, P.E., and Scott Effner, P.G.
